Choctawhatchee Smoked Mullet Sauce Recipe

1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon mustard
2 drops liquid hot pepper sauce
Dash pepper
1 teaspoon instant minced onion
3 tablespoons lemon juice
¾ cup mayonnaise
¾ cup salad oil
1/3 cup chopped parsley
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon horseradish

Put the first 9 ingredients (everything but the oil, parsley, garlic and horseradish) into a blender.

Cover, blend a few seconds, uncover, add oil slowly, keeping motor running.

Blend until thick and smooth. Add parsley, garlic and horseradish and blend until you get a smooth sauce.

Serve with smoked mullet.

Makes approximately 2-1/2 cups sauce.
